Recreational Programs

Etobicoke Gymnastics offers programs for girls and boys from two years of age and older.

2 & 3 with Parents

This class is for any child with energy to burn! They will be introduced to basic movement patterns utilizing the bars, beam, floor and trampoline with the assistance of their parent. Each class is 45 minutes in duration.

Kinder-Gym 3 and 4 & 5

The 3 year old and 4 & 5 year old programs will continue to introduce basic movement patterns on bars, beam, floor and trampoline. Each class is 60 minutes in duration.

Junior Recreational 6 & 7

This program will introduce basic and intermediate gymnastics skills on bars, beam, floor and trampoline. Each class is 75 minutes in duration.

Senior Recreational
8 & 9 and 10 & Up

This program will introduce basic and intermediate gymnastics skills on vault,bars, beam, floor and trampoline. Each class is 90 minutes in duration.

Trampoline

This program will specialize in trampoline skills for girls & boys 8 years of age and older. Basic, intermediate and advanced skills will be introduced as the student progresses. Each class is 75 minutes in duration.

Each child will progress at their own ability.

Achievement Program

Potential team members come from our recreational classes. An evaluation session is usually held in mid-August with consideration given to age based on availability of space.

Current team members do not need to be reevaluated once selected onto a Team. They will be contacted in early August to see if they will or will not be returning in September for the coming season.

The primary difference between our Achievement Program and our Competitive Program is the Achievement Program will only train during the school year while the Competitive Program trains year round.

Developmental 2 Team

This program is for girls 6 & 7 years old; they should have a minimum of one year experience and be tested (or recommended) to register onto this Team. This Team trains once per week for two hours.

Team members are required to purchase a club training suit, approximate cost is $55 plus HST.

This Team will not participate in competitions.

Competitive 3 Team

This program is for girls 8 & 9 years old; they should be working on Recreational Level 4 or above and be tested (or recommended) to register onto this Team. This Team trains once per week for three hours. The primary focus is skill acquisition and routine development in preparation for competition in Levels 1 and 2.

This Team will participate in two local competitions. Parents are responsible for the meet registration fees, approximate cost per meet is $85. The competitions are usually held in April or May.

Team members are required to purchase a club training suit, approximate cost is $55 plus HST. The training suit will also be worn in competition.

Team members are required to purchase a competition warm-up suit which includes a track jacket and pants, approximate cost is $90-$95 plus HST for a jacket and $55-$62 plus HST for pants.

Competitive 4 Team

This program is for girls 10 years old and older; they should be working on Recreational Level 6 or above and be tested (or recommended) to register onto this Team. This Team trains twice per week for a total of four hours. The primary focus is skill acquisition and routine development in preparation for competition in Levels 2 to 4.

This team will participate in two local competitions. Parents are responsible for the meet registration fees, approximate cost per meet is $85. The competitions are usually held in April or May.

Team members are required to purchase a club training suit, approximate cost is $55 plus HST. The training suit will also be worn in competition.
